The 2026 I Love the 80’s 5K brings a blast of neon nostalgia to TY Park on January 24, 2026, celebrating everything bold, bright, and unforgettable about the 1980s. Runners and walkers will be surrounded by the sights and sounds of the decade—think vibrant colors, big hair, leg warmers, and the iconic beats that defined a generation. Whether you lived through the era or just love its wild style, this event is your chance to step back in time and enjoy a fun, upbeat run filled with retro flair and positive energy.

This totally rad 5K isn’t just about crossing the finish line—it’s about the full 80’s experience. Participants can enjoy a costume contest, music and dancing, and 1980’s trivia, making the event as entertaining as it is active. Get ready for an electric atmosphere where everyone is encouraged to dress up, dance it out, and embrace the fun spirit of the decade. With great vibes, exciting activities, and a spirited run through TY Park, the 2026 I Love the 80’s 5K promises to be an event you won’t forget—because in this race, the 80’s are back and brighter than ever!

All registered participants will receive a personalized race bib with RFID timing chip, a dri-fit event shirt, and beautiful finisher medal.

The I Love the 80s 5K is a chipped timed event with awards for overall, masters, and age groups (age groups as follows:  1-9; 10-14; 15-19; 20-24; 25-29; 30-34; 35-39; 40-44; 45-49; 50-54; 55-59; 60-64; 65-69; 70-75; 75+

PLEASE NOTE:  Broward County Parks charges a $3.00 per car entry fee.  This fee will be in effect for the I Love the 80's 5K.  Individuals with disabilities requiring accommodations to participate in programs, services, and activities must contact event coordinator Danny Howard at  954-835-5929 at least 5 business days before the scheduled meeting or event.
