We have worked directly with several municipalities to ensure we are providing a safe environment and following all CDC COVID-19 protocols. The following is our South Florida Sunset Challenge COVID-19 race protocols: \n– Masks must be worn at all time EXCEPT when on the race course. Once you are at the start/finish line you may remove your mask. You must carry your mask with you at all times. Once you cross the finish line and have completed the race\, you must put your mask on. \nRegistration:\n– All event registration must be completed through our event website. You may register on race day but must do so through your computer\, tablet\, or phone. There will be no in person race day registration available on site. Participants must register 30 minutes prior to the start of their event. \nPacket Pickup:\n– We will host pre-race packet pickups. Please click on the locations above to see the pre-race packet pickup time and dates. We encourage everyone to utilize pre-race packet pickup to limit large gatherings on race day.\n– We will have packet pickup available on race day. We will have a packet pickup table\, with plexiglass dividers\, available. We will not allow large lines at packet pickup\, to follow the social distancing guidelines\, so provide yourself with plenty of time in case the line is long and there is a long wait. \nRace:\n– We will implement a rolling start for all three events.  We will have 4-6 participants starting every 10 seconds.  We will line everyone in position (proper spacing for social distance start) for the rolling start.  Be ready to start at the time of your event (12:15pm 10K Cycling; 2:15pm Duathlon;  4:15pm 5K Run) as the rolling start will move quickly.\n– Please wear your mask until the start of your race. Once you have completed the race\, and crossed the finish line\, you will be required to place your mask on.\n– Water stations will NOT be available on course but will be available at the completion of the race. We will have a water station available past the finish line with bottled water. Please plan accordingly if you need on course water.\n-Helmets are required for all cyclist. \nAwards:\n– Awards ceremony area is permitted for only those who have finished in the top 3 overall or top 3 of their age group. You may watch the awards from a location outside the awards ceremony and standing 6′ away from others. \nYOU ARE NOT PERMITTED TO ATTEND IF\n– You have a fever\n– You have any symptoms of illness\n– You currently have COVID symptoms or have had symptoms in the last 14 days\n– You have tested positive within the last 14 days\n– You have been exposed within 10 days and have not had two negative test since. Exposed is defined as being within 6 feet of a COVID-19 positive person or one who becomes positive\, for 15 minutes \nWe know these are unique and challenging times for everyone. Tour de Florida Virtual Challenge Logo \nQ:  Can I run\, walk\, cycle or swim in the event?\nA:  We have events setup for each skill. Each challenge offers a platform to Run/Walk\, Cycle or Swim.  There is not a platform to utilize all three skills in one challenge.  If you sign up for Running/Walking then you must compete by running/walking.  If you signed up for the cycling portion of the challenge you will only be allowed to use results via cycling.   If you registered for the running challenge you must run\, if you registered for the cycling challenge you must ride and if you registered for swimming then you must swim.  We would not be able to provide a fair platform if we allowed running\, cycling and swimming in one event.  If a participant ran 60 miles and cycled for 20 miles\, it would not be fair to compare results versus someone who ran 20 miles and cycled for 60 miles. \nQ:  Do I have to live/be in Florida to participate?\nA:  No\, your registration includes shipping anywhere in the United States.  International participants will pay additional fee for shipping. \nQ:  Do I have to participate in all four events?\nA:  No\,  you can choose which event suits your abilities the best.  You will receive a race packet for the event(s) you register? \nQ:  Can I participate in all four challenges?\nA:  Yes\, you will receive the complete race package for all events you register.  Each challenge has a different race package available. \nQ:  Can I begin to log my miles prior to June 15?\nA:  No\, only the miles logged from June 15 through July 31 will count towards the Tour de Florida Virtual Challenge \nQ:  Can I log miles several times a day?\nA:  Yes\, you have the freedom to complete miles towards your goal at any pace and schedule you wish. \nQ:  How do I record my completed miles?\nA:  The event website will have a form for you to submit at the completion of each day \nQ:  What activities can I compete in for the Tour de Florida Virtual Challenge?\nA:  All four challenges have a platform for Running/Walking\, Cycling and Swimming.  You must register for the platform you wish to compete.  You cannot run\, cycle and/or swim within one specific challenge.  If you wish to run in the Alligator Alley Challenge then you must sign up for Alligator Alley Challenge – Running.  If you wish to cycle in the I-4 Challenge then you must sign up for the I-4 Challenge – Cycling.  Athletes who are looking to challenge themselves running\, cycling and swimming have signed up for three separate challenges for the triathlon feel. \nQ:  Can I switch to a shorter distance event after June 15 (start of the event)?\nA:  You can switch but you will not be eligible for the finisher medal in the shorter event.  Medals are ordered based off your registration. \nQ:  Do I have to run/walk/cycle/swim outside?\nA:  No\, a treadmill\, Peloton\, stationary bicycle and swim pool is approved. \nQ:  How do I submit my results after each session/leg?\nA:  Simple.  either click on the link at the top of this page or go to www.victorysportsmgt.com/tourdeflorida to submit your results
