DESCRIPTION:Love Serving Autism 5K Virtual \nThe most important aspect of the annual Love Serving Autism 5K is our participants\, staff\, and volunteers safety.  At 5:00pm much of South Florida was placed on a Hurricane Warning\, which means hurricane conditions are likely in the next 24-36 hours.  We do not want anyone trying to complete their 5K in dangerous conditions so the event committee has decided to reschedule the 2nd Annual Love Serving Autism 5K Virtual to Saturday August 15\, 2020.   \nAll your information and registration will be automatically transferred to the new date.  We will send you reminders the week of the 5K. \nThank you for your support and understanding.  Please stay safe this weekend and we will see you in two weeks. \nWe have all been through a challenging period of our lives over the last four months.  We all pray that there is a light at the end of the tunnel and we will find a sense of normalcy soon.\nWe were working very diligently to host the 2nd Annual Love Serving Autism 5K as a live event on August 1\, 2020 at Tradewinds Park.  Due to the recent spikes in COVID-19 cases\, Broward County has cancelled our event permit for August 1.  Through the toughness and difficulties it is important that we find a way to persevere through the challenge rather than give up.  We will host the 2nd Annual Love Serving Autism 5K on August 15th at a virtual event.  This will allow you to participate from wherever you are.  A virtual run allows you to choose the time and location on August 1st to run/walk the 5K (or 3.1 miles).  We will provide with all the tools necessary to track your run/walk and submit your results for us to tabulate\, just as if it were a live event.  It is important to stand up to challenges and prove your strength.  Love Serving Autism has battled through the difficult and is currently hosting virtual classes for their beautiful children.  Please show your support of the 2nd Annual 5K so Love Serving Autism can continue to support the children who need it most.\nTHANK YOU FOR YOUR SUPPORT! \nLove Serving Autism is for the 2nd Annual Love Serving Autism Family 5K.  Whether you can run the entire 5K or want to walk\, this event and cause is for you. Let’s look at tennis.  Tennis is an individual sport that can provide youth with physical and cognitive developmental tools.  It also builds self-esteem through peer interaction and socialization as well as develops language skills.
