Our mission is rescuing innocent dogs that have been mercilessly abandoned by their owners in the Florida Everglades and neighborhoods of Palm Beach\, Broward and Dade County. The on-going problem in the Everglades and streets of South Florida has reached epidemic proportions. These dogs also face a high risk of being hit by cars and suffering unimaginable injuries while left to die\, alone\, in excruciating pain. To date\, Everglades Angels Dog Rescue has rescued and rehabilitated more than 500 dogs. Our 100% volunteer-based organization generously donate their time to rescuing\, rehabilitating\, socializing and providing emotional care and support to each and every dog we rescue. The veterinarian we utilize provide thorough and complete medical care for all of our dogs. The ultimate goal is to adopt these dogs into the best home possible where they can live out their lives in a safe\, secure\, and loving environment. We are dedicated to creating innovative projects to raise awareness\, educate our youth and local residents to promote responsible dog ownership. We have organized over 200 fundraising events with the help of local businesses and the community to support our mission. Recently we have opened Treasures 4 Tails Thrift Shop where we resell donate items and all proceeds go directly to the care of the dogs\, the store is operated by volunteers only\, we do not have a payroll. Everglades Angels was also proudly featured on National Geographic Wild TV Show Pupparazzi spreading awareness about dog abandonment.
