QUESTIONS AND ANSWERS (Q&A)

Q: Where is the I Love the 80's 5K taking place?
A: Al Lopez Park;  4810 N Himes Ave, Tampa, FL, 33614

Q: How long will I need to volunteer?
A: We have two volunteer options for you.  Option 1 (event day) Saturday April 23, 2022 - 6:00am - 11:00pm (6 community service hours).
Option 2 (pre-race packet pickup)  Friday April 22 , 2022 3:00pm to 6:00pm (3.5 community service hours).

Q:  Can I earn community service hours as a volunteer:
A:   Yes, the event will benefit Love Serving Autism, a Florida based non-profit, which will provide community service hours for your time.

Q: What should I wear?
A: Please wear khaki or black colored shorts/pants and a white shirt (long or short sleeve). Make sure it is comfortable as you will be working outside and moving around.

Q: Where do I park/dropped off within the Al Lopez Park upon arrival?
A:  Upon entering the park, go straight at the first intersection, then follow the road to the back left parking lot.  All event activities will take place adjacent to this parking lot.

Q: What are the duties of a volunteer?
A: The volunteer duties will range from registering participants, handing out participants race packets, providing participants with water during the event, start/finish setup and teardown, on course directional markers - telling the participants where to go, event course setup, parking, 5K timing.

Q: Who will complete my volunteer service hours form?
A: Upon completion of your volunteer shift, please see Danny Howard to have your form completed and signed.

Q: How will I know what my assignment?
A: Upon arrival Victory Sports will have staff to guide you in the correct direction. Victory Sports staff will be wearing bright neon yellow staff shirts.
