We are excited to have our 4th Annual Olympia Race Day on December 14, 2024! The event is open to all Olympia residents, but you must register before October 5, 2024! Last year we had 610 residents participate and this year to be even bigger and better!
A few changes and reminders:
- Early Bird Pricing – We are offering discounted pricing of only $13 if you register before September 7. Registration will stay open until October 5, however, pricing will increase to $18 after September 7 – so don’t forget to register early!
- Team Relay Race – Based on success the first year, we are going to offer the Team Relay Race option again! As a reminder, you get to pick your team and where you plan to hand off your “baton” as you navigate the half marathon course. Teams can be as small or large as you’d like, so feel free to team up as a family or with a bunch of friends! Where and how often you decide to hand off your “baton” is up to you as well. Each team member needs to register individually and we’ll coordinate team details closer to the race day.
- Additional 5K Race – This year we will offer two different 5K start times – one at 7:15AM and one at 8:00AM. The 7:15AM start time will be more geared towards the “I’m here to win!” crowd and the 8:00AM start time will be more geared towards the “I’m here to have fun!” crowd. During registration, pick the one that best suits you!
- Swag Bags – During the registration process, you will have the ability to opt-in or opt-out on receiving a swag bag. Some households may opt-out of receiving multiple swag bags, especially for the younger kids. Regardless of an opt-in or opt-out, you will still receive a shirt and race bib.
- Sponsorship Opportunities – We have revised the available sponsorship opportunities to maximize value for our sponsors, help keep overall costs down for the event, and provide an amazing experience for registered residents! Please see below for the various sponsorship opportunities and instructions if you are interested. Please note that many of our sponsorship opportunities are limited and will be provided on a first come, first serve basis.
We will still have all the other races planned, including a Half Marathon, 10K, 5K (x2), 1 Mile, and the Half Relay Race. Whether you are a seasoned runner, newbie starting out, casual walker, or even a baby being pushed in a stroller there is a race and fun for you to enjoy!!!
Your registration fee will include a custom finisher medal, participant shirt, snacks/refreshments, music, race bibs to track your race times, and much more! Ask your neighbors – this is an awesome event for all residents and is a great way to kick start some healthy habits!
All races will utilize the inner loop of Fatio Blvd with the finish line being near the Club House (exact map and starting point of each race will be made available before the race).
Tentative race start times are listed below:
- 6:00am – Olympia Community Run Half Marathon and Relay Race Start
- 6:45am – Olympia Community Run 10K Start
- 7:15am – Olympia Community Run 5K Start (the “I’m here to win!” start time)
- 8:00am – Olympia Community Run 5K Start (the “I’m here to have fun!” start time)
- 8:45am – Olympia Community Run 1 Mile Start
