Welcome to”The World’s Easiest 5k” where the PERSON WHO FINISHES IN THE MIDDLE IS THE WINNER!
OUR GOAL is to remake the 5k experience by making average special and breaking the traditional idea of what it means to be physically fit. OUR MISSION is to encourage and promote a healthier lifestyle for the Average Joe and Jane who has the determination to go out and try their best.
We provide awards to Top 3 overall and Top 2 in each age group (fastest). What makes the event so unique is our Average Joe Awards, which is provided to the participant who finishes in the middle. We award the Average Joe/Jane overall and within each age group. The age groups are as follows: Mens/Womens 1-8; 9-14; 15-19; 20-24; 25-29; 30-34; 35-39; 40-44; 45-49; 50-54; 55-59; 60-64; 65-69; 70-74; 75-79; and 80+. Our overall Average Joe/Jane will receive the coveted Average Joe Champion Jersey. The Average Joe Champion Jersey is a prestigious as the Masters Green Jacket, Tour de France Yellow Jersey, and many other sports awards. HOW THE EVENT WORKS
Step 1: Drink a cup o’ Joe and enjoy donuts
Step 2: Warm-up with a local fitness instructor
Step 3: Walk or run the course.
Step 4: Finish the race with the average time
(Finish in the Middle)
Step 5: Celebrate!
